It's finally warm'in up. Thanks God for miracles. I'm itch'in to get outside an do some yard work. My husband and I are planting about 100 trees. We have a mini forest that sits infront of our house my daughter call's it "Avarian Forest"; anyway the trees are dieing so we have to replant.
I'm hoping this will jump start my weight loss journey. My goal is to loose 60lbs but for right now I'm focused on 40. I'm 39 and I still carry'in my pregnancy weight I gained with my 2nd child and she's almost 10. For those of you who happened to read this and have any encouraging words or some ideas on this journey to help me be succesfull; feel free to share...share...share. I'm trying to take baby steps...such are drinking 70 0z of water a day followed with walking 3x a week. My husband and I are planning a "Boundary Water's Trip" in September and I'd hate to be carrying the extra weight if you get what I'm saying.
Not only do we have outside projects going on but we also have inside project we're tackling as well. A few years ago we all; meaning our 2 kids and hubby and myself were sleeping in the dining room due to remodling the upstairs. We went from a 2 BR 1 Bth to 3 BR 1 full bth. all we have left to do is carpet, trim and title the bathrm and will be ready for phase 2 which is decutting the main floor and remodeling the kitchen. I'm hoping this will be complete within a 2 yr period so phase 3 can begin; an addition to the front of house by the time my son graduates yr 2010.

It's the Little Blessing from God.....
Today has been a glorious day!
First, my awesome hubby, Frank decided to work 2nd shft so he could stay home with ME!! Am I loved or what! We went to weight watchers and I found out that I lost another 2.5 lbs and I met my 16 wk goal, which I have NEVER did after 6x's of trying.
Go Sherry...Go Sherry!!!!! As a motivator they give out a charm that has #16 on it which I put on my WW bracelet. :0) We then went out for lunch and shopped at Sam's.
Later this evening I received a phone call from my *BIG* brother John but being the youngest I still to this day call him "Wally". I worshiped him when I was little. I thought I had the *coolest* brother in the world. Whenever he'd come and visit I would get all excited by just being in the same room with him.
But you see, because of our age difference we really don't have a lot in common. He doesn't have any kids and he tends to live in the securer side of things. He was nice enough to call and talk to my son who's 11 about helping sponsor his Football Team, talked about taking him to a Lion's game this fall, and to talk just to me.
What about, just to tell me that I have a "good" kid, that my husbands a decent man and that I am lucky. He talked about Dad and how he's trying to get mom and him to go to Vegas on him and that he'd like to just "hang" and have fun.
We ended it by saying I'll see you soon and as always I said like a little sister...
"I love you Wally" and he said I love you too.
God blessed me with his Love today. I thank him daily for my family, for every person that comes into my life, for every experience, for every breath that I take.
Have you looked at *your* blessing today?

...Life...
Today, I volunteered in my daughters 2nd grade class. Me and another parent talked about various things. Things from buying a new house, horses, our *girls*, playmates, jobs, having more *babies*, to just dreaming.
My *new* friend talk about buying some land for horses behind her house and of how her husband and 2 girls under 7 walked the field with markers in hand plotting their course of what they're life would be like together, each one of them seeing a *need* to dream. Her oldest has already made plans for the barn and where her new horse will live.
Wouldn't it be nice to dream about other things too, such as; knowing who we are and where we are in our spiritual walk. Just to know we can strive to become better friends to others, better siblings, better wives/husbands, better parents, better children to our parents, better to ourselves and just better people in the world.
We were made to need each other and to have fellowship together. For each dream we have their is a mountain to climb and in climbing we need others to help us reach our true potential.
My dream today is for God to show me his Glory through everyone I meet.
And I believe today he just did.

Change is Good
Life is good. I really can't complain. For once in my life I am excited for tomorrow to come. As a young teen early 20's I would expect things to be this or that. I was so self-centered,prideful, and arrogant. I was a idealist. I fantasized and day dreamed about everything. It was difficult to follow through on anything. I guess you could say I was addicted to the process.
I am learning to become a realist. My first instinct is to dream but I realized I have power over my thoughts and I can make my dreams come true.
Learning to take risk and to step out of your comfort zone is a growth process that takes time.
I have learned and still learning NOT be prideful, and self-centered. I truley like who I am and NOT dream about how I wish I was this or that.
I am truley enjoying the Journey!!!!!
